Cape Charles, VA, USA April 5, 2012  — Betis Group’s Elizabeth Waggoner recently attended a Town Hall Meeting hosted by Congressman Rigell from Virginia’s 2nd District. Ms. Waggoner brought Congressman Rigell’s attention to the loss of designation as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) in Northampton County as well as the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
This rezoning affects Federal contract awards to Betis Group as well as many other Eastern Shore businesses. Having HUBZone designation would help Betis Group create jobs on the Eastern Shore and throughout the US. Ms. Waggoner has been to Washington, DC to further discuss the issue and Congressman Rigell has signed onto the HUBZone Bill.
