Systems Engineer (Multiple Positions)

Betis Group is seeking to fill multiple Systems Engineer positions.  Our ideal candidates will have proven experience in VMware, Virtualization, Programming, Windows, Unix/Linux, Application Packaging, Storage and Backup, and/or Network.

VMware

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for design, deployment, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues of all VMware components to include the hypervisor, vSphere, NSX, vRealize Suite, and Site Recovery Manager. 4th Level Support

 Virtualization

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for engineering all VDI design, deployment, and maintenance of VDI systems and components within the organization. The Contractor shall install, patch, upgrade, update, and document the current environments, design, document and deploy upgrades, and provide on-site expertise for both Citrix and VMware VDI environments currently in use. 3rd Level Support

Programming

The Systems Engineer shall conduct Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) automation and improvement in support of systems. Responsible for the creation of automation scripts using programming language such as Python to automate the operations and management of the system builds and Information Technology platforms. Responsible for custom script development to interact with various application programming interfaces (API’s) and troubleshooting hyper-converged, converged, and traditional server hardware and software.

Windows

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for engineering, design, integration, deployment, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues, not only of the base operating system, but for all support libraries, components, and application dependencies.

Unix/Linux

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for design, deployment, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues, not only of the base operating system, but for all support libraries, components, and application dependencies. 4th Level Support

Application Packaging

The Systems Engineer shall create and maintain both the thick install and virtual install application packages for COTS products, GOTS products, and developed custom applications used on the enterprise environments. Currently utilized application packaging technologies include but are not limited to Microsoft App-V Sequencer, Flexera AdminStudio, BigFix, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager. The Application Packager (Packager) will be part of a packaging team to support application packaging for a Windows 10 deployment as well as other commercial off the shelf products such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge based on Chromium, Adobe products and other add-ons.

Storage and Backup

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for design, deployment, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues, not only of the base storage & backup system, but for all features, components, and application dependencies. To include Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Tape, local disk, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, etc. 3rd and 4th Level Support

Network

The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for design, deployment, testing, certification, patching, and addressing interoperability issues for all features, components, and application dependencies. To include switches, firewalls, load balancers, software defined networking, private cloud requirements, etc. 4th Level Support

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience required ranges from 6 – 10 years minimum

  • Create a step-by-step build documentation and engineering documentation for all versions of baseline images.

Program Manager (IT Infrastructure)

Betis Group is seeking a Program Manager (IT Infrastructure) with proven experience to join its growing team.  Our ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise and experience with managing IT programs and projects. This is an on-site position located in Pocatello, Idaho.

The Program Manager (PM) shall plan, coordinate, implement and finalize significant, complex projects and/or multiple smaller initiatives according to the specifications and deadlines, all while keeping the project within budget and on schedule. This position and hours may be combined with another fulltime position as long as the PM possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined in the combined Position Number position requirements. The Government will define the program’s objectives, approve product schedules, and oversee quality control throughout the entire process. The PM shall identify, assess, and minimize project risks until successful task completion. The PM will work with and manage the activities of various involved parties to include both internal and external stakeholders. The PM shall plan and support major milestones throughout the engineering life cycle and assist in developing schedules and deliverable requirements. This position requires that the PM be able to review all project documentation and assist others efficiently by assisting others as needed with specific IT projects and planning. The planning and coordination for this task order will be extensive, covering an active workload of several 5+ enterprise level projects. The PM shall manage and administer all efforts undertaken in this Task Order to include, but not limited to: ensuring all work activities are performed in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining the highest up-time of performance; manage and oversee all Contractor personnel and resources utilized in the performance of this Task Order; identify and maintain a management structure and organization with overall project control and authority for the performance of work under this Task Order.

The Program Manager shall plan, staff, interview, select, evaluate, train,monitor, and direct the PM staff. The PM shall manage and oversee staff ticket closure rates, performance related Service Level Agreements (SLA), compiling reports on performance metrics to monitor or increase staff performance, ensure SLAs are met and exceeded, and for providing metrics and reports to FBI Managers.

The Program Manager shall be responsible for creating, producing, and maintaining ticketing system reports and metrics reports. The PM shall be responsible for monitoring the FBI’s

Service Manager ticketing system to identify any trends or inconsistencies and providing detailed reports to management. Responsible for providing direction, guidance, and support to staff. Responsible for encouraging, rewarding, and motivating staff upon their recognizing and documenting process improvements. Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with staff, customers, and end-users. Responsible for the support of enclaves under the FBI area of responsibility.

The Program Manager shall provide reports on a scheduled basis as well as an ad-hoc basis. The PM shall deliver services and maintain new Service Level Agreements. The PM shall continuously look for process improvements, document and maintain standard operating procedures and workflow procedures. The PM shall develop project plans that reflect a holistic approach to the standardization process and identify resource loading and achievable timelines, which may include making changes to multiple plans in parallel to avoid any system and network down time or degradation in performance.

  • Administrative experience scheduling, controlling, delivering, and monitoring meetings using Adobe Connect, WebEx, GoTo Meeting, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco vBrick

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Hands-on technical management of VTC hardware/software applications
  • Ability to manage Cisco VTC integration with Cisco Meeting Server (CMS) or Expressways VC
  • Ability to manage on-prem and cloud application/access
  • Ability to work across multiple technical teams to coordinate details and requirements for executive events.
  • Professional demeanor with strong written and oral communication skills

Experience

  • Five or more years of experience managing and supporting complex video and audio teleconferences using cited technologies.
  • Experience managing other collaboration platforms such as Cisco/Tandberg and Poly, and knowledge of how they interact with video teleconference (VTC) applications such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Live Event, and Cisco WebEx.
  • Experience administering, managing, and running live streaming events for customers.
  • Experience with scripting
  • Experience managing Quality of Service (QoS) for the VTC
  • Experience managing live meetings and events, training sessions, and conferences
  • Experience in a financial services environment preferred.

Education

BA/BS in Computer Science, Communication Technology, or an equivalent combination of education or experience

Special Certifications/Security Clearances

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Must be able to obtain a minimum of PUBLIC TRUST/CONFIDENTIAL clearance or above as required by the scope of work/work objectives
