Description: 

Betis Group is currently looking for candidates to join us as part of the team who will be supporting the Federal Aviation Administration, Office of Information Technology, Integrated Service Center. 

The program requires operations personnel and services including service desk/center with 24x7x365 availability, life cycle asset management, end-user support, data center operations, and mobile devices. In addition, customer training and other special projects will be part of the program’s support.

Level 0 / Junior

One years’ experience as a team member in the subject area of expertise. A high school diploma or a recognized equivalent of a high school diploma, as follows (see 34 CFR 600.2 Code of Federal Regulations):

  1. A General Education Development Certificate (GED);

  2. A State certificate received by a student after the student has passed a State-authorized examination that the State recognizes as the equivalent of a high school diploma;
  3. An academic transcript of a student who has successfully completed at least a two-year program that is acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor’s degree

Level 1 / Junior with Degree

For positions identified as “IT Track”: A Bachelor’s degree with a major in an instructional program classified under Department of Education CIP code 11 (see Table 2) from an accredited post-secondary institution or program.

For positions identified as “Non-IT Track”: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or program.

Two years’ experience as a team member in the subject area of expertise.

In addition to the above, Project Manager Level 1 positions require at least four years of progressively more responsible experience in major IT software, hardware, or integration projects, including at least one year of Project Manager experience.

Level 2 / Journeyman:

For positions identified as “IT Track”: A Bachelor’s degree with a major in an instructional program classified under Department of Education CIP code 11 (see Table 2) from an accredited post-secondary institution or program.

For positions identified as “Non-IT Track”: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or program.

Three to five years’ experience leading complex projects in the subject area of expertise.

In addition to the above, Project Manager Level 2 positions require at least five years of progressively more responsible experience in major IT software, hardware, or integration projects, including at least two years of Project Manager experience.

Level 3 / Senior:

For positions identified as “IT Track”: A Master’s degree (preferred) or a Bachelor’s degree with a major in an instructional program classified under Department of Education CIP code 11 (see Table 2) from an accredited post- secondary institution or program.

For positions identified as “Non-IT Track”: A Master’s degree (preferred) of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or program.

Seven to nine years of experience leading complex projects in the subject area of expertise.

In addition to the above, Project Manager Level 3 positions require at least six years of progressively more responsible experience in major IT software, hardware, or integration projects, including at least four years of Project Manager experience.

Level 4 / Master or Subject Matter Expert:

For positions identified as “IT Track”: A Master’s degree with a major in an instructional program classified under Department of Education CIP code 11 (see Table 2), or for positions identified as “Non-IT Track”: A Master’s of Science, Master of Science in Accounting, or a Masters of Business Administration, from an accredited post-secondary institution or program.

Ten years’ experience performing complex projects, studies or research in the subject area of expertise.

Allowable Substitutions:

  1. A Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of relevant experience. A doctoral or Ph.D. degree in an appropriate discipline will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of relevant experience.
  2. Eight (8) years of relevant experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
  3. Four (4) years of relevant experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position will be considered equivalent to an Associate’s degree.
  4. Six (6) years of relevant experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, when combined with a certification equivalent to Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Expert, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Master, Certified Information Systems Security professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Architect (CCA), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified Architect(MCA), Microsoft Certified Master(MCM), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD), MCSD, or Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM).
  5.   9. An accredited bachelor’s or Master’s degree not listed or not considered equivalent will be counted as one
    (1) year of relevant experience; an accredited Ph.D. degree not listed or not considered equivalent will be counted as (2) two years of relevant experience.
  10. Relevant experience is experience directly reflecting the work, task or project being evaluated. The nature of the activities, analyses and work products must be very similar or identical to those of the intended project.
  11. General experience is any experience.
  12. There is no education substitution for Ph.D. categories.
  13. Certification is official recognition of professional level expertise. Certification is official recognition by a trade association, industry organization, an industry or trade governance organization, an educational institution, a government agency or department, or a large corporation with a market dominant product. Certification denotes an advanced level of specific expertise commensurate with advanced educational degrees. Certification may result from work experience, education, training or a combination of these.
